No payroll upload
- Payroll row data is not uploaded to DocSmith-hosted servers.
- DocSmith is a software utility, not a payroll processing service.
No cloud storage by default
- DocSmith does not store payroll rows in cloud storage by default.
- If an optional feature is introduced later, it will require explicit user action and disclosure.
Licensing and service interaction
- Licensing requests are limited to entitlement, activation, and claim-code related checks.
- Checkout and licensing endpoints may process transaction and entitlement metadata.
- These interactions do not require payroll-row upload from the local workspace.
Data retention
- Local drafts remain on your device until deleted by the user.
- Licensing and payment records are retained only for service operations, fraud controls, and legal obligations.
- Retention scope is limited to what is necessary for compliance and support response.
